Talent Terms, version 1.0, effective September 29, 2026
These Talent Terms apply to anyone who registers with ZaZang as Talent (a performer or other entertainment, creative or event-service provider). They add to the Terms of Service, which also apply to you, and are an agreement between you and ZaZang LLC.
ZaZang is not your booking agent. ZaZang is 100% technology: ZaZang gives independent performers the tools to manage bookings, availability, communication and payments in one place.
I agree to the ZaZang Terms of Service and Talent Terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. I understand that I am offering services through ZaZang as an independent service provider and am responsible for the services, representations and commitments I make through the platform.
1. You are an independent provider
You offer your services through ZaZang as an independent service provider. You are not an employee of ZaZang, and ZaZang is not your employer, manager or agent. You control how you perform your services and remain responsible for taxes, licenses, permits, insurance, equipment, assistants and legal compliance.
ZaZang does not find work for you, negotiate for you or represent you. You decide which requests to quote, what to charge, and which bookings to accept.
2. Eligibility and payout account
You must be at least 18 years old. To receive payouts you set up a connected payout account with ZaZang’s payment processor, Stripe, on Stripe’s own pages. Stripe decides what identity and banking information it needs; ZaZang never receives your full banking details.
Payment processing services for Talent on ZaZang are provided by Stripe and are subject to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement (opens in a new tab), which includes the Stripe Terms of Service.
3. Profile accuracy
Before you publish or save your profile, you confirm:
I confirm that the information contained in my ZaZang profile—including my services, capabilities, equipment, media, experience, rates and availability—is accurate to the best of my knowledge. I understand that Clients may rely on this information when considering or requesting my services.
Keep your profile, rates and availability up to date. ZaZang may keep a history of your profile so it can determine what information existed when a booking was requested. Clients see this notice on your profile:
Profile details, selected capabilities, equipment, availability and media are supplied by this provider. Confirm specific requirements, deliverables and venue conditions as part of your booking. Profile information does not guarantee availability or performance.
4. Capabilities and equipment
Capabilities describe "What this performer can bring to your event or project." When you select a capability, piece of equipment or service (for example wireless microphone, dance floor lighting or ceremony audio), that selection is your representation, not a representation by ZaZang. ZaZang does not independently verify ownership, condition, availability, licensing or professional proficiency.
Equipment or capabilities on your profile are not automatically included in every booking. Only equipment specifically included in the confirmed booking is part of that booking, and you are responsible for maintaining equipment you specifically agree to provide.
5. Media rights
I confirm that I own or have permission to use the photos, videos, audio, logos and other media uploaded to my ZaZang profile.
You permit ZaZang to host, store, reproduce, display and distribute your profile media on the Platform and to promote your profile and the Platform, as described in the Terms of Service. Placeholder: [Scope, duration and termination of this licence — to be set by counsel]
6. Listing review
ZaZang staff review a new profile for completeness and compliance with ZaZang policies before it can appear in search or receive requests. Being approved to list is not a verification of identity, skills, licensing, insurance, background, equipment or quality, and you may not describe it as one. ZaZang may decline, pause or remove a listing that does not meet its policies.
If ZaZang offers a paid listing subscription, its price, billing frequency, renewal and cancellation terms will be shown to you and separately agreed before any charge.
7. Quotes and acceptance commitments
You have 48 hours to answer a quote request before it expires. Quote and negotiate only inside ZaZang. Before accepting, review the client and event, date and time, location, services, equipment, deliverables, special instructions, compensation, ZaZang fees and deductions, travel requirements and cancellation terms, and verify that you can reasonably provide them.
By accepting this booking, I confirm that I am available and qualified to provide the services described, that the information and capabilities represented in my ZaZang profile are accurate, and that I am responsible for performing the engagement in accordance with the booking details and applicable laws.
Talent acceptance represents a commitment to provide the services described in the accepted booking, subject to payment and confirmation requirements. Do not accept a booking you know you cannot reasonably fulfill.
8. Fees and payouts
- Talent booking fee: $19.99 plus 3% processing, $20.59 in total, per booking. It is charged when the 48-hour cancellation window closes to your card on file, or, if you have no usable card on file, deducted once from that booking’s payout.
- The Client pays your agreed rate in two parts: a 50% booking retainer after both parties sign the contract, and the remaining 50% due 48 hours before the event.
- These payments are held by ZaZang’s payment processor on the Platform’s account until release. They are released to your connected payout account when the Client confirms completion, or 24 hours after the event ends, unless a problem report or a payment dispute places them on hold while ZaZang reviews it. Stripe then pays out to your bank on its own schedule.
ZaZang does not guarantee payment. A refund approved for the Client after a problem report or dispute may reduce or cancel your payout for that booking.
9. Cancellations and their consequences
You may decline a request, and either party may cancel free of charge during the 48-hour cancellation window. After the window closes there is no self-serve cancellation; contact ZaZang support, which reviews each case.
Canceling a confirmed booking may affect the Client's event and may be subject to ZaZang's Talent cancellation policies. Please provide the reason for cancellation.
Talent should only cancel when they cannot reasonably fulfill the booking, and must give a reason through ZaZang. ZaZang may maintain a Talent cancellation history. Repeated avoidable cancellations may result in a warning, reduced account privileges, temporary suspension or removal from ZaZang. ZaZang distinguishes legitimate emergencies from repeated unreliable behavior; a single documented emergency is not automatically treated the same as repeated avoidable cancellations.
If you cancel a confirmed booking, the Client should receive a refund of amounts collected for services that will not be performed, and ZaZang staff may also return the Client’s booking fee. A Talent booking fee that has not been collected when a booking is cancelled with nothing paid out is waived. See the Booking & Cancellation Policy.
10. Photography, video and other deliverables
Photography and video deliverables, editing, delivery timeframe, usage rights and file-retention expectations should be confirmed in the booking details.
Failure to deliver agreed post-event materials may be reported as a service issue even though you attended the event.
11. Off-platform bookings
Booking opportunities introduced through ZaZang should be completed through the ZaZang platform in accordance with the Terms of Service.
Do not ask for or accept payment outside ZaZang for a booking that started on ZaZang. Placeholder: [Definition of a ZaZang-introduced Client, and the duration, scope and consequences of the anti-circumvention obligation — to be set by counsel before enforcement]
12. Conduct and safety
Operate equipment safely, follow applicable venue requirements, and follow the Community Standards & Acceptable Use and the Safety & Conduct Policy. You may decline to perform, or to expose people or equipment, in materially unsafe conditions; tell the Client and ZaZang as soon as reasonably possible.
13. Taxes
You remain responsible for your own tax obligations except amounts ZaZang is legally required to collect, report or withhold. ZaZang or its payment processor may ask for tax information where the law requires it.
14. Suspension and ending these terms
ZaZang may warn, restrict, suspend or remove a Talent account under the Terms of Service. Commitments you accepted before your account ends remain subject to the Booking & Cancellation Policy.
